A safari to northern Tanzania during any season of the year is an amazing adventure. You can spot the “Big Five” in the Ngorongoro Crater, see 6,000 elephants and more than 400 species of birds in Tarangire, take a cultural tour of a Maasai village, and see the unique vegetation at Lake Manyara. Our dedicated tour guides will do all they can to make sure this trip meets your wildest expectations.
We’ll start around 7:00am in Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park with packed lunch boxes in hand. The park gate is about a 2.5-hour drive away. As you enter the national park, lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees begin to set the mood for what is waiting ahead. Your game drive will last until around 5:00pm or so with a small break for lunch. Be on the lookout for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and the blue monkeys. Another spectacle of this park is the tree climbing lions, although spotting them is a game of luck. In the right season, you can see the shoreline turning pink with millions of flamingos. Later your will head to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
